Susan is a Kiama-based artist, who was raised on a dairy farm beneath the Illawarra escarpment. After pursuing university studies in Canberra, life took her to London where she raised three sons. Post-London, she settled in Canberra with a career in Education, but the call of the sea beckoned.
Susan spent seven summers living on a yacht, five in the Mediterranean and two in the Caribbean, before retiring to Surf Beach in the picturesque coastal town of Kiama.
Surrounded by the ocean, she enjoys a love for swimming, hiking, gardening, art, fashion, and style. Captivated by the boundless nature of abstract art, her focus shifted to abstract seascapes. Susan finds solace in the limitless possibilities abstract painting offers, She enjoys early morning walks along Surf Beach, Kiama where she gains endless inspiration. Her artistic pursuit is driven by a desire to convey the sea’s feel and sensation through vibrant colours, varied textures, and the fluidity of acrylic paint on canvas. Rejecting the notion of replicating a photograph, she strives to evoke the essence of the ocean in abstract form. Her journey from a dairy farm to a life living on and by the ocean has shaped her art.​

HOW TO PURCHASE ARTWORK
If you don't have good reception on your phone, ask staff for the WIFI login... then Scan the QR Code alongside the artwork at the venue to purchase artwork/s. The QR code will direct you to the webpage that shows what artwork is available at the venue.
Simply click on the artwork you wish to purchase, pay online using the various payment methods. Sorry no cash transactions.
Show your payment receipt of to Staff and ask them to take artwork off the wall for you.
