Local Illawarra award winning artist Karen Crea invites the community to experience her upcoming exhibition, Where Colour Meets The Sea.

As the doors open, visitors step into a world alive with colour, texture and individuality. This upcoming art exhibition brings together a collection of paintings created with rich oils and vibrant acrylics, inviting visitors to pause, explore and experience nature through colour.

Bold, colourful florals fill the canvases with rich layers and striking texture, created through palette work rather than traditional brushwork. Alongside them are abstract bird portraits, each with its own distinctive character, colour and presence.

The oceans bring another dimension to the collection, unfolding in beautiful shades of blue, turquoise and deep indigo. Layer upon layer of paint creates depth and texture, capturing the changing moods and timeless beauty of the sea.

Together, the florals, birds and oceans create a collection that is colourful, tactile and full of character. Every artwork offers something different, encouraging the viewer to look closely at the layers, textures and colours that bring each piece to life.
